Bit late, Gillard is looking dirtier and dirtier over this and the public don't like what they are seeing. First she does what Disciple Peter did to Jesus disowning Sattler to all then when a compromising photo of them together at a dinner in 2007 pops up, the fact they are both in Emily's list is revealed and Sattler (having lots of big friends in the ALP as well) pointing out she is being railroaded, code speak for, I am not going quietly suddenly changes her story. Gillard is now out trying to spin Sattler out of trouble..... Double hmmm.....
Sad thing is most of the Canberra Press Pack & "ALP"BC have been attempting to ride top cover on this and IMHO it will be buried pretty soon, even though there are more fingers in this pie than has been reported. Like the Heiner Affair implicating Kevin Rudd, Wayne Goss and the present Gov Gen Quentin Bryce in covering up the sexual assault of aboriginal youth at a correctional establishment in the 1990's it will most likely simmer along until a change of Government occurs, then even then it will get scant regard from the press.......

An Inconsistent Truth

For years we’ve heard that Global Warming is real and will be the death of the planet if we don’t do something about it. No less a luminary than a former Vice President, Al Gore, has carried that message for better than 20 years. The problem is that talking about science and actually doing science are two very different things. Whereas once all you heard was the Chicken Little version of events, as scientific debate has had time to carry out its processes, more and more scientists are debunking Global Warming or at least offering serious doubts. Far from the inconvenient truth Gore calls it, the “truth” of Global Warming is better referred to, as inconsistent.
This week has seen more pushback on the supposed universal scientific consensus of the truth of Global Warming. Just yesterday, in the Wall Street Journal, 16 respected scientists put their names on a piece that questions the incontrovertible nature of Global Warming. They include the President of the World Federation of Scientists in Geneva, Switzerland and former heads of the meterological and climate studies for entire nations! The article begins with a quote from Nobel Prize-winning physicist Ivar Giaever who recently, “…publicly resigned from the American Physical Society (APS) with a letter that begins: “I did not renew [my membership] because I cannot live with the [APS policy] statement: ‘The evidence is incontrovertible: Global warming is occurring. If no mitigating actions are taken, significant disruptions in the Earth’s physical and ecological systems, social systems, security and human health are likely to occur. We must reduce emissions of greenhouse gases beginning now.’ In the APS it is OK to discuss whether the mass of the proton changes over time and how a multi-universe behaves, but the evidence of global warming is incontrovertible?”
This announcement and so many others similar to it come on the heels of the East Anglia Climategate scandal from 2009 which reveal that the world’s leaders in Global Warming research colluded to preserve the conclusions they wanted as opposed to going wherever the science and facts took them.
Earlier, I said that the any truth of Global Warming should be seen as inconsistent as opposed to inconvenient. I took that from the title of a new film released this week, the premier of which I was privileged to attend here in Nashville, Thursday night. A project of nationally syndicated talk show host, Phil Valentine, the film “An Inconsistent Truth” takes a funny yet factual look at the “settled” science. Featuring both interviews with scientists and attempts to interview Al Gore, who despite being a Tennessean with a couple of homes here in Middle Tennessee and despite several requests over time, just wasn’t able to sit down with Phil to defend his signature scientific work from questions from a talk show host, the film takes a look at the facts and finds, as noted, the truth of Global Warming to be inconsistent at best.
The truth is, this is not absolute truth. There is no consensus, this is not settled science, there is plenty of dispute and debate, the evidence is not incontrovertible.
For me the final proof has always been, what are the solutions being offered to combat the problem? Making CO2 into a pollutant? Reducing carbon emissions over the next 50 years? The LEAF and the Volt?
What about the PEOPLE? Why are there no plans to evacuate New York, Washington DC, Miami and other coastal cities around the world? If the caps are melting and the seas will rise and destroy these cities, why aren’t we addressing that? Instead, the President and other Global Warming proponents do this conference and that conference and travel byspewing more carbon into the air with their 22 vehicle convoy than the average person will emit in 6 months.
There are, indeed, very real dangers to mankind from the behaviors of other greedy, selfish men. That’s for absolute sure. But Global Warming isn’t one of them!
